Some people are very much capable at seeing and believing for possibilities for others yet struggle when those same possibilities are directed towards them.

They believe God’s word to be true, as long as that truth is not directly applied to them.  They believe the great ‘bible stories ‘ and cheer on the people who have experienced the miraculous or walked in paths of faith but upon being told that they too can operate in these realms, begin to doubt it. They see themselves as not good enough.

By definition, Imposter complex/syndrome is a psychological pattern in which an individual doubts their skills, talents or accomplishments and has a persistent internalised fear of being exposed as a “fraud”.

Your giftings, dreams and visions are gifts from God to you. He knew you before you were born, and He called you.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument], And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own]. Jeremiah 1:5 AMP

From creation, the devil has been cunning and good at playing mind games; he did with Eve in the garden by asking her “has God indeed said you should not…?” (Genesis 3:1). Then with Jesus in the desert, the devil questioned him in an attempt to challenge his authenticity: “if you are the son of God…” (Matthew 4:3) and he is still doing it today.

The devil tries to make you think you are not good enough.  If you are thinking that you are not good enough for whatever gifting, calling or dream you have, then you are succumbing to the devil’s mind games.

Your ‘goodness’ has nothing to do with your works or level of achievement; your goodness is a result of God’s goodness to you. God is the one who has finished every work concerning you and He has assured you through His word that He has already approved and qualified you (Ephesians 2: 4-10 NKJV).

Sometimes you get a dream in the form of an idea. You ponder over it for a while and then you ‘shelve’ it. While it is shelved in the ‘safe’, you forget it. Days, months and sometimes years pass by and one day you see someone else running with a similar idea.

Other times, you don’t shelve the idea. You pray about it, invest in it and just when you are about to carry it out, someone else is already running with something similar. Do not despair!

The sky is large enough for all birds to fly. Each bird in the air has got their own capabilities, skill set and level of height they can attain. They may all be in the air, but their purposes are all different. YOU ARE NOT AN IMPOSTER.  You are an original design.  You have dreams, visions, giftings that are God given. Your surroundings and the world at large are waiting to be blessed by you putting them to use.
