“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
Revelation 3: 18 NKJV
God is a God of open doors. He is a way maker. This scripture written to the church in philadelphia is for us today, every believer of Christ.
A door has a double sided function, for entry and exit. The term open door , I believe also serves two purposes. For the purpose of this blog , I will begin with the exit. Sometimes we get tied up with
unnecessary weights and extras which we have no business carrying in the first place. The cause of these weights may not have originated from us or may not have resulted by our own doings but we make them ours when we hold on to them. Simply put, you have two options to EVERY situation you face in life. Either you let God’s truth bring freedom or you hold on and remain in bondage to that situation. If you feed on and allow God’s truth to shine , exposing the scheme( lies ) of the devil, you allow the Holy spirit to guide you through God’s process of healing, deliverance or what ever is needed for the situation. This
may take a day or a year but the most important thing is that you make progress towards God not away from His will. The second option is to hold on to the hurt, pain , shame or whatever it is you are experiencing. There may be every justifiable reason to hold on and dwell in that place which if I may add, you are entitled to BUT you cannot hold on to a situation and allow God in that situation at the same time. It is always one or the other so you may want to ask yourself where you are at.
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in
Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8: 1 NKJV
Jesus has freed us from condemnation. If you are a believe in Christ , you are already free from EVERY condemnation .
The question now is why do so many believers still feel condemned at times ? If you allow your flesh to dominate you, then you will experience fleshly results, which include but not limited to condemnation but if you allow the leadership of the spirit, you will experience life. So the choice is
yours really, THE DOOR IS OPEN BEFORE YOU. What will it be ? Will you walk away from these weights ? Just like Jesus said to the crippled man ” your sins are forgiven.. Arise, pick up your bed and walk! ” ( Matthew 9 : 2 – 6 ) .An open door means you don’t have to be in bondage to anything , anymore. Jesus has made you free.
We shall carry on with the other purpose of the door, which is for ENTRY in the next blog. Watch out !
Love this “ two options either we make Gods truth free is or chooses to hold on to bondages… “ it’s a choice we msje. God has the answers already 👌👌👌👌
