Is God leading you?

Continuing from my previous blog, some people lead a PEOPLE/SITUATION led life.

Some of my fondest memories growing up are memories of us being together for one occasion or the other. These occasions were not necessarily grand events as such but the comming together itself. That sense of community and friendship, which fostered a level of openness.

Today, the world seems much smaller as virtually everything now connects. Travels are easier and migration a lot simpler, yet there has never been a time when people have been so far apart.  Yes we have all the social media platforms that connects everyone, an instance being this blog, written somewhere in the Eastern part of England and read by people across the globe yet the physical,  human connection and interaction seems to disappear so people now use their Imagination based on what they read, watch and listen to and since everyone makes an effort to put their best foot forward, all we tend to see are the ‘best’ sides of people.

Sides that hide flaws and the elementary things that make people human. So there is this big assumption out there that there are two categories of people; the perfect people and the ones striving to get to that perfection.

What this has created is a society where people now desire to be like other people, daming the consequences of the actions they might take to get there.
Oh there is the place of mentoring and that can not be over stated as people need other people who have gone ahead or who have excelled in an area as examples to look up to but no man should be another man’s standard in life.

People don’t take time to search the bible to find out what it says, so they are easily swayed by opinions and ways of others, no wonder when these people who they have so idolised fall or make mistakes, they themselves fall like ‘humpty dumpty’.

The final form is the GOD LED life.
This type of leadership, which is God ordained, is shown to us in

Numbers 9:16-23 NKJV
So it was always: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night. [17] Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, after that the children of Israel would journey; and in the place where the cloud settled, there the children of Israel would pitch their tents. [18] At the command of the LORD the children of Israel would journey, and at the command of the LORD they would camp; as long as the cloud stayed above the tabernacle they remained encamped. [19] Even when the cloud continued long, many days above the tabernacle, the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD and did not journey. [20] So it was, when the cloud was above the tabernacle a few days: according to the command of the LORD they would remain encamped, and according to the command of the LORD they would journey. [21] So it was, when the cloud remained only from evening until morning: when the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they would journey; whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud was taken up, they would journey. [22] Whether it was two days, a month, or a year that the cloud remained above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would remain encamped and not journey; but when it was taken up, they would journey. [23] At the command of the LORD they remained encamped, and at the command of the LORD they journeyed; they kept the charge of the LORD, at the command of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

The key here is verse 23. The people travelled or camped at the Lord’s command, and they did whatever the Lord told them.
Today, you and I, as believers, have the Holy Spirit within us to guide us, and the Holy Spirit’s guidance is one that always leads us to peace and prosperity.

Don’t travel because everyone is travelling and don’t camp because everyone is camping.  Seek to know what God is saying to you and do it. God’s leadership doesn’t always line up with man’s agenda so sometimes it may look to others as though you are stagnant,  but don’t be in a hurry to move because you are trying to please a man.

Stay in God because He is the good shepherd, and only He can lead you to good pastures.

Every blessing
