Some imagine God as one very angry being up there, ready to smite any and everyone who falls out of line. If this or something similar is your thinking then you couldn’t be more wrong. The whole essence of Easter is for God to satisfy the penalty for sin through His death, burial and resurrection and now through that has restored peace with man.
The wrath of sin has been taken away and nailed to the cross and God is not mad at you. He is a loving Father, waiting with His arms stretched wide for any and everyone who is willing to come to Him, despite anything.
