One of the biggest development tests in growing your own ‘thing’ is working for others. If given the choice, some people would rather run their own businesses, yet in the real world more people work for others than they do for themselves.
One of the most excellent ways to grow is commitment towards someone else project.
“And if you’ve not proven yourself faithful with what belongs to another, why should you be given wealth of your own?”
Luke 16:12 TPT
Are you presently a contributor to someone else’s success? Do you work for an organisation other than yours? Are you involved in another person’s business, involved in a charity or project not owned by you ?
The question is, how committed are you to that organisation, project, business, or charity?
Do you have a minimalist approach to doing things at work where you get involved only because it is absolutely necessary and never take initiative?
Are you the first one out of the door at the end of the day and the last one to come in to work ?
The question for you is, what would be your expectation of others if the business was yours ?
The above passage of scriptures says, ” If you’ve not proven yourself faithful. ” …
What does it mean to prove one’s self faithful?
Let’s look at the word faithful: According to the dictionary definition, faithful is remaining loyal and steadfast.
To be loyal to something or someone involves a lot of commitment and dedication. It requires hard work and patience.
One of the keys to true riches is serving other people and remaining committed to them. Helping others grow their own thing. There is so much you learn when you commit yourself like that, and every good seed you sow for others returns to you in harvest form.
