Your six – way path to success

No one generally sets out with the intention to fail, so continuing from my last blog, I would like to talk about the natural motivators we have to succeed. The human was  originally created with two eyes, a nose , a mouth, two ears, two hands and two feet, and all forward facing. Is this coincide ? Absolutely not.
We have two eyes for the emphasis on the importance of vision. The totality of a man’s life is summed up by what he sees. Vision is the ability to see. It is never God’s desire or intention for anyone to be without sight, be it physical or spiritual as proverbs 29:18 tells us that “Where there is no vision the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18 kjv).

The first key to success in life is to have a vision. If you don’t see where you are going, you will jump on every available path, and some of those paths are pathways to destruction.  Vision gives you constraints as it shows you that because it is acceptable out there doesn’t mean you have to be involved in it. It gives you a clear path and gives you a drive. Drive is your companion when things seem not to go as planned.

There was a case in the bible when Jesus prayed for a blind man. After the prayer, he asked the man what he saw, now this is very important because Jesus wanted to ensure the man had a clear vision, so when he responded to Jesus saying he saw men as trees, Jesus had to pray for him again emphasising the point that what you see matters.

(And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.” Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly. Mark 8:24- 25 nkjv).

The next of our six- way path to success is the nose, so unassuming yet so important in our walk. The sense of smell or perception. As part of its definitions, perception is the way something is seen, understood, or regarded. So my question to you would be, how do you perceive yourself? Do you perceive yourself as a failure, an average, or a success . Also, on the other hand, how do you perceive doors of opportunities that you encounter? You see, some doors come announcing themselves as doors, but other times as well, some doors need to be perceived as what they are because they often do not come dressed up as opportunities. It takes one with a good sense of smell, to perceive that though looking ordinary and irrelevant, opportunities abound.

The next would be the mouth, which is as important if not more important as it is a determinant of life and death. In Ecclesiastes 3:7, it says there is a time to keep silent and a time to speak, and I would say that the realisation of these times in our lives is very crucial. It is often said that there is a reason we have two ears and one mouth, which is to hear twice as much as we speak. So many people have used their own mouths to write their future and they are not very good write ups.

The bible calls the tongue which is a component of speech production, a rudder which controls an entire ship or as my pastor would say in modern day, a steering wheel which controls the entire car.( James 3:4-5).
Do not let anyone deceive you by saying that words don’t matter because they do, so if you don’t have something nice  to say, shutting up would be a good idea.

Some people are too quick to spill out even prematurely, and when you do that, you stand the risk of scaring even yourself.  When you have a vision, a desire and you haven’t spent enough time praying about it and planning and you go about talking to all who care to hear, you stand the risk of scarring some people and they can end up transferring their fear on to you because you haven’t done your appropriate research and couldn’t answer some of their questions.  This could plant a seed of doubt, and before you know it, you talk yourself out of it for fear of the unknown.

TO BE CONT’D…

Much Blessings
Kingdom
